Jane Mclean

Jane W. McLean, age 97, passed away Monday, December 21,2020 in Louisville, KY. She was a 61-year resident of Fountain City, living in the wonderful home that her husband designed and built for her, until she moved to Louisville in 2012 to be near her loved ones. Jane was born in Petersburg, VA to the late Artie and Cecil Worsham. She was married to the love of her life David L McLean, Sr for 46 years until his death in 1990. Jane was a homemaker and very active in many clubs in Knoxville. She was past president and held almost every other office in Fontinalis Club, Eastenn Toastmistress Club, and Harrill Heights Garden Club. She was a lifelong member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. She dearly loved her family, friends and shopping. She was a member of the Good Shepherd Church since 1962, gave parliamentary workshops to several organizations, and enjoyed playing in two bridge clubs with her wonderful friends. She absolutely loved celebrating Christmas with her family leaving behind a lifetime of wonderful memories. Jane was preceded in death by her dear husband David L McLean, Sr. and her beloved son David L McLean, Jr. She leaves behind her daughter Deborah, her granddaughter Mandi (Brian) Yarberry, her grandson David L McLean III, and her great grandchildren Brianna McLean, Abby Yarberry, and Alex Yarberry. She also leaves behind her cherished friends Eleanor Thurman and Joanne Morrell. A small graveside service to honor the life of Jane will be held Saturday, January 2nd at 1pm at Lynnhurst Cemetery with the Rev. Dorrie Pratt officiating.
