James Jenkins, age 51, of Knoxville, TN, passed away on Thursday, March 24, 2022. He was a retired Army Veteran, and worked at the Pint House.
James was a 1989 graduate of Elma High School and was a manager of the Pint House and was a 4-year Veteran from the Army. James was the father of 2 beautiful children, Avery Jenkins and Jesse Jenkins and he was extremely proud of the both of them. James loved his children above all other. He was a grandfather to Isabella, Kennedy and Desmond who called him “Poppy”. James enjoyed watching the Seattle Seahawks football games every Sunday as well at the University of TN football and basketball games. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating on Lake Norris. He loved to watch Avery and Jesse play at every porting event that they had, basketball and football. He was a loving father and adored by many He will forever be remembered by his friends and loved ones.
He is preceded in death by father, Earl Anderson.
He is survived by his sons, Jesse James Jenkins (Tripp), Noah Jacob Wamsley and Joshua Seth Wamsley; daughters, Avery Ella-Jaymes Jenkins and Meagan Paige Khan; grandchildren, Isabella Khan, Kennedy Khan and Desmond Khan; mother, Beverly Anderson; siblings, David Jenkins, Debbie Erickson and Tammy Chapman.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, April 4, 2022, from 5:00pm until time of funeral service at 7:00pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at 1:45pm at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E. Governor John Sevier Hwy., Knoxville, TN 37920, for a 2:00pm graveside service with Military Honors provided.
