James William Carr, age 86, went to be with his heavenly Father on Wednesday, June 23, 2021. James was a K-Trans bus driver. He was also “Mr. Fixit” and proficient at building, welding, and carpentry. He had many talents, taught himself banjo and guitar, enjoyed bowling and fishing, and loved his furry friends, but most of all he loved his late wife of 63 years. James was always willing to lend an ear to his family and friends. He was a special man and will be greatly missed. He is proceeded in death by his wife, Myrtle Marie Carr, and granddaughter Jessica Carr. He is survived by his children, Rick Carr (Kathy), Angela Montsinger (Vince), and David Carr (Darla); grandchildren Stephanie Fuller (Bruce), Jennifer Montsinger, Kris Montsinger (Becca), Travis Montsinger, Kayla Montsinger, Maegan Martin (Jonathon), and Jake Carr; 6 great grandchildren with another on the way; and several other family and friends. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 2:45 pm for a 3:00 pm graveside service at Highland Memorial, 5315 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37919.
