James William Bean

James W. Bean, age 68, born July 3, 1947 in Knoxville, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday, January 14, 2016 after a 25 year battle with Parkinson disease. Jim’s motto in life was to be honorable and honest, he was always selfless. He proudly served in the Navy and retired from Norfolk Southern. Jim was a loving husband and father, with a passion for making anything go fast. Preceded in death by father, W.S. Bean and mother, Paralee Bean. Survived by wife of 45 years, Deann Bean; daughter, Jessica Bean; son, Brad Bean; mother-in-law, Goneau Heath; brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Marcene Weddington; and nephew, Greg Cameron. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 7:30 pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow, Pastor Mike Napier and Pastor Michael Thomas officiating.
