James Warren "J.W." Hughes

James Warren "J.W." Hughes, age 82, of Halls Crossroads went to his heavenly home, Thursday morning, surrounded by his family. He was a member of Fairview Freewill Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army and retired from Jefferson Smurfit Corp. J.W. loved the outdoors; hunting, fishing and camping. He is preceded in death by parents, C.M and Mary Hughes; and brother-in-law, Leon Spangler. Survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Geraldine Underwood Hughes; children, Billy and Vicki Hughes, Rhonda and Tim Chittum, Donna and Jason Edwards; grandchildren, Bobby, Trent, Chelsie, Jennifer, Cody, Kimber and Kaycee; 8 great grandchildren; sisters, Imogene Spangler and Marjorie Underwood; special brother-in-law, Lorin Underwood; and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 2:00-4:00pm, Sunday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with a celebration of life held at 4:00pm, with Rev. Joe McCoy officiating.
