James Richard Miller

James R. Miller (Rick), age 59 of Powell, TN, passed away on Dec. 19,2021, with his family by his side. Rick enjoyed starting his dream farm with his grandchildren and teaching them how to garden and take care of the animals. He loved his Yorkie babies, Harley and Molly, grand dogs Neyland (knot knot) and Maverick (mavey boy). His favorite pastime was fishing with his brother and sisters and grandkids. Preceded in death by his parents James C. Miller and Wanda F. Miller Pope Survived by his loving wife of 34 years Marie Miller; son Ricky and Amanda Miller, daughter Charity Hayes and Fiance TJ Strong, son Aaron Miller, son Chris and Jennifer Smith; grandchildren who meant the world to him: Alexxus and Addison Miller, Nevaeh Hayes, Kandy, Kayla, Kallie, and Kaden (Little Man) Strong, Isaiah and Mckinzie Miller, Sophie Miller, and Christian Smith; brothers John and Ron McGill, Dennis Ogle ; sisters Debbie Martin, Marsha Pope; sister in law Darlene and Billy Sharp; brother in law Wayne Bivens, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will receive friends 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with the service to follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Craig Lucas, Rev. Brian Lucas and Billy Sharp officiating. Family and friends will meet at 12:15 pm Thursday, December 23rd at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel for a procession to Fort Sumter Community Cemetery for a 1:00 pm graveside service.
