James Oliver Childress “Piggy” age 69 passed away Sunday, June 16, 2019. Preceded in death by parents Helen and Lawrence Childress; sister, Ellen Sewell; brother, Jimmy Childress. Survived by his wife, Kathy Childress; children, Gary (Mitzi) Childress, Michael Childress, JoAnn (Joey) Smith, Roger (Tammi) Smith, Navy Smith, George (Monica) Smith and Melissa Smith; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters; 2 brothers. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm Thursday, June 20, 2019, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow at 7:00pm Pastor Jack Bunch officiating. Family and friends will meet 1:00pm Friday, June 21, 2019, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel to proceed to Copper Ridge Cemetery for an 2:00pm interment.
