James Madison (Jim) Whaley age 79, of Knoxville passed from this life to his home in heaven on Monday, October 4, 2021. He was born on January 29, 1942 in Cleveland TN. He was of the Christian Faith. He was preceded in death by the love of his life Elizabeth (Betty) Whaley; the where married 57 years. His son James Michael Whaley. His parents James “J.C.” Claud and Carrie Lee Whaley. Brothers Victor (Buddy) Whaley, Gene Whaley, David Whaley and sister Libby Whaley. He is survived by daughter Kathy Sharp (Leon York) grandchildren, Kate Green, (Jared H). Rowan Sharp (Ali O). Great grandchildren, Micah, Rhonin, and Bellamy. Brothers: Gary Whaley, Mike Whaley, sisters: Linda Whaley, Mary (John) Morgan, and Martha (Tim) Munsey. Brother-in-law William G. Phelps and sister-in-law Janice Whaley. Many loving cousins, nieces and nephews, and friends. Jim was a business man who worked for Record Rack for over 20 years. BMC was his last job. His best Jobs was taking care of his family. He loved music and him and my mom loved singing Karaoke and dancing at Southerland Ave. Deli. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 5-7 pm in the chapel of Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel with a Funeral Service following at 7:00 pm.
