James Lynn Thompson

James Lynn Thompson, age 75, of Corryton, passed away February 17th, 2018. He was of the Baptist faith. He graduated from Gibbs High School and went on to work for Dempster Brothers for over 20 years. He was also a KPD reserve officer for over 40 years and a member of Blue Knights Motorcycle Club. Preceded in death by parents Drama and Charles Thompson and brother Gene Thompson. Survived by loving wife of 53 years JoAnne Thompson, son Shannon Thompson and wife Diana, grandson Joshua Thompson, special friends Gary Boggs and his Blue Knight brothers, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. Family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 20th, 2018 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, with service to follow. Chaplain Ray Gore and Chaplain Jeff Schrimsher will be officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, February 21st, 2018 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel and proceed to Clapps Chapel Cemetery for 11:00 a.m. interment.
