James Lowell Bruton

James Lowell Bruton age 79, of Knoxville, Tn., passed away peacefully Thursday, February 9, 2023 at his home surrounded by family and friends. For 26 years, Jim was co-owner of Pro Air Filter. Member of St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral and former member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church and New Hope Presbyterian Church. Preceded in death by parents, Maidra Bruton Crosby and Edward Bruton, Jr.; Daughter, Denise Bruton Dean. Survivors include Ron Davis, partner in life and business; daughter, Happy Angie Bruton Rodes and husband, Greg; sister, Sandy Bruton Watkins; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. His fur-baby, Holly Golightly, will miss him greatly. A Funeral Mass will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, February 25, 2023 at St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral, 413 Cumberland Ave., Knoxville, Tn., with the Very Right Reverend John Ross officiating. Following the Mass, the family will receive friends in the Great Hall of St. John’s Episcopal Cathedral. Special thanks to UT Hospice for their invaluable care.
