James Leon Seely, loving, devoted and loyal son, father, grandfather, husband, brother, friend, coach, and employee of Food City, unexpectedly went to his new heavenly home on Friday, October 3, 2014. He was born in Harriman, TN, to Willie Lee Hurst Seely and Bill Seely who preceded him in death along with his father-in-law J.B. Quinn. James was a member of Bell Avenue Baptist Church. Left to cherish the memories of his love, kindness, and devotion are his three sons Bradley Seely, Christopher Seely and wife Rebecca, Brandon Seely and friend Angela, wife Nancy Seely, cherished grandson Keaton, mother-in-law Mildred Quinn, all of Knoxville, brother John Seely and wife Shirley of Paducah, Kentucky, cousins Jeff Carter of Nashville and Randy Hurst of Harriman. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include Jim and Margaret Quinn, Eddie and Tammy Quinn, Betty and Zeb Gambill, Mary and Melvin Cantrell, and Morgan Quinn along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. The family will receive friends 6-8 PM Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 8 PM with Rev. James Duncan officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:15 AM Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City and proceed to Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment at 11 AM.
