James Lee Koontz

James Lee Koontz, age 74 of Knoxville, TN, went to be with the Lord on July 3, 2024. He was an avid UT sports fan and he loved taking his granddaughters fishing. Preceded in death by mother Juanita Wagner, father Floyd Koontz, and brother Gerald Koontz. Survived by loving wife of 53 years Linda Koontz, daughter Lori Mayfield, granddaughters Kaitlyn (Derek) Stagg and Kelsey Mayfield, great-grandson Alex Lee Stagg (coming soon), brothers Dennis (Angela) Koontz and Doug (Karla) Koontz, sister Susan (Jim) McKesson, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 1:00-2:00pm Saturday, July 13, 2024, at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel, with service to follow at 2:00pm.
