James Kermit Long

James Kermit Long passed away suddenly on Wednesday morning November 18, 2020. He was sixty four years old. He graduated class of 1974 from Loudon High School and then from University of Louisivlle in Louisville, Ky in 1982. He worked for the State of Kentucky until he became disabled in 1997. He was the father of Elijah and he said being a father was the most sacred thing he ever did. He is preceded in death by his mother and father Mary and David Long, brother John and sister Judy. He is survived by his son Elijah, sister Jeanie Gray(Long), niece Erin( Brennan) Jacques and great niece Adeline Lily Jacques, and cousin and best friend Dustin Litz. Family will receive friends 6:00-7:00pm Monday, November 23, 2020, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, 4131 East Emory Road Knoxville, TN, with service to follow at 7:00pm, Reverend Jamie Bauknight of Powell Church will be officiating.
