James "Jimmy" Miller

February 15, 1935 — February 5, 2017

James C. "Jimmy" Miller, age 81 of Knoxville, passed away on February 5, 2017 with his family by his side. James enjoyed to play music with his friends and was a dedicated Alabama football fan. Preceded in death by parents, Earnest Miller and Lula Farr; brother, Ernie. James is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Marie Miller; grandchildren, Ricky Miller and wife Amanda, Aaron Miller and wife Stephanie, Charity Hayes and Brad Yearout, Christopher Smith and wife Jennifer; great-grandchildren, Alexxus and Addison Miller, Isaiah and McKinzie Miller, Nevaeh Hayes, Christian Smith; sister, Mary Jo Coram; ex-wife Wanda Pope, who helped care for him; several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Avalon Hospice nurses, Marie, Patty, and Jennifer, who were very special to our family. The funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Thursday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, Rev. Gene Hale and Rev. Bob Corum officiating and then proceed to Ft. Sumter Community Cemetery for interment. Pallbearers will be Ricky Miller, Aaron Miller, Brad Yearout, Roger Bivens, Toddy Baker, and Jeremy Wedd. The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
