James "Jim" Herman Norman, Sr.

James “Jim” Herman Norman, Sr., age 79, of Knoxville, TN, went home to be with the Lord on June 28, 2023. He was a native of Caryville, TN and was retired from Pellissippi State following a twenty-three-year career. Jim truly enjoyed spending time with his family, watching football and going to the Fountain City Park. He is preceded in death by his loving wife of over twenty years, Kathy Norman; parents, Joe and Donnie Mae Norman; brothers and sisters, Edmond, Walter, Lowell, Rosella, Dora and Joann. Jim is survived by his sons, Michael (Melissa) Norman, Steven (Ashley) Norman and Jimmy (Michelle) Norman; daughter, Etta Faye; grandsons, Austin, Mason and Jacob Norman; brother. Leonard Norman; sisters, Paulette Norman, Ida Mae Hill and many other family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Wednesday, July 5, 2023 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow at 7:00 PM. Reverend Eddie Muncy officiating. Family and friends will meet by 12:45 PM Thursday, July 6, 2023 at the main entrance to Greenwood Cemetery for a 1:00 PM graveside service. Pallbearers will be sons and grandsons.
