James Graves

Rev. James Graves, age 72, of Knoxville went to be with the Lord on May 20, 2016. He was pastor of Tower Heights Baptist Church since 1985. Godly and devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Preceded in death by wife of 33 years Betty Graves; parents Arless and Hassie Graves, sons Randy Graves and Bobby Graves; and stepson David Riggs. Survived by sons Jimmy (Sandy) Graves and Mike (Beverly) Graves; stepchildren Carol (Troy) Baird, Kay (David) Compton and Jeff (Sherrie) Riggs; a bushel of grandchildren and a peck of great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to American Cancer Society at m.cancer.org/donate Funeral service will be held 7:00pm, Monday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with Rev. Glenn Day officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45am, Tuesday, at Greenwood Cemetery for interment at 11:00am. The family will receive friends 5:00-7:00pm, Monday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
