James Floyd Hubbs – age 88 of Knoxville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior August 21, 2013. He was a member, deacon, and Sunday School teacher of Graveston Baptist Church. Floyd was a United States Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific Theater during WWII and a retired employee of Robertshaw Controls. Preceded in death by his parents, Lon and Stella Hubbs; son, Garry; brother, Elmer; sisters, Irene Wallace, Helen Ailor, Thelma Saunders and JoAnn Southerland. Survived by wife of 67 years, Beulah Hubbs; daughter, Glenda Jackson and husband Dan; grandson, Jeff Jackson and wife Susanne; granddaughters, Angela Weaver and husband Chris, Lisa Meade and husband Shannon, and Kim Hubbs; great grand-daughters, Callie and Makenzie; and sister, Mary Margaret Corum. Family would like to express thanks to Bo Smith and the Graveston Baptist Church family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Graveston Baptist Church Building Fund. Funeral service will be Sunday, 7:00 pm at Graveston Baptist Church with Rev. Sean Watson officiating. Family will meet 10:45 am Monday at Graveston Cemetery for an interment service at 11:00 am. Family will receive friends 4:30 to 7:00 pm Sunday, Graveston Baptist Church.
