James “Papaw” Emmett Connatser, born July 18, 1940 and passed away May 30, 2018 at home after a long battle with health issues. Jim was born in Richmond, VA and raised in South Knoxville. A 1959 graduate of Fulton High School. Truck driver and diesel mechanic for 35+ years at which time he was owner of his own diesel repair shop. He enjoyed motorcycles and spending time with friends.
Preceded in death by parents Otha and Edith Connatser; brother Otha Connatser; sister Carolyn Burchfield; spouse of 20 years Patricia Ann Deford.
Survived by sisters Kathy Bledsoe (Kenneth) and Jean Cruz; brother Bobby Connatser; children James “Jimmy” Connatser (Cindy), Denny Connatser (Manuela), Kelly Parks (Kert) and Jason Connatser; grandchildren Sara Connatser, Heather Maupin (Cody), Emma Parks, Will Parks and Kevin Panhans; great grandchildren Reese, Noah and Kye Maupin; and several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to close friends Eddie Fox and Ronnie Lucas for their help and support.
Family and friends will meet at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel 9:30am, Thursday June 7, 2018, and proceed to Bells Campground Cemetery for a graveside service at 10:30am. Pallbearers: Bill Story, Eddie Fox, Robert Fox, Kenneth Bledsoe, Charles West and Robert Emert. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm, Wednesday, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
