INMAN, James Edward “Ed”, age 74, passed away unexpectedly early Tuesday morning at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center. He attended Fulton High School in Knoxville and went on to earn certificates in welding and forklift operation from Tennessee Technical School. He was employed with Norfolk Southern Railway for many years before retiring from there. Watching football was one of his favorite pastimes, and he was a dedicated VFL (VOL for life), Tennessee Titans fan, and an avid fisherman. In his earlier years, he served as youth director at his local church with his wife Rita. He is preceded in death by his parents Wayland Inman and Martha Inman, infant son James Anthony, and two brothers, Joe Inman and Buddy Inman. He is survived by his wife Rita Inman, son Timothy Inman and spouse Angela, daughter Kara Levanda and spouse Tony, grandson Matthew Inman, granddaughter Bethany Arnold and spouse Tyler, grandson Reggie Rutherford, granddaughter Mindy Rutherford, grandson Anthony Inman and spouse Alexandra, grandson Andrew Inman and spouse Valerie, grandson Austin Inman and spouse Nichole, four great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 22, 2019 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, 2829 Rennoc Road, with a service to follow at 7:00 pm, officiated by John Miller. Family and friends will meet on Friday, August 23rd, 2019 at 12:45 pm for a 1:00 pm interment at Beech Springs Cemetery in Kodak. Online condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com.
