James Driggers, 75, of Knoxville passed away peacefully Sunday, March 7, 2021 in ICU at Fort Sanders Hospital. He is now able to breathe after suffering years of COPD. He is preceded in death by beloved wife Wilma Driggers; Parents, Elijah (Pete) and Belle Lambert Driggers; Sister, Zoe Milligan. He is survived by children Michele (Jayme) Frye, Marlie (Aaron) Delashmutt, Terena Driggers, Macala Driggers; Stepdaughter Sheila Kelley who took such great care of James. Grandchildren, Preston, Mia, Katana, Kayen, Zoey, Cyrus, Emmett, Kandri, Sophia, Bryx, Ashley Lynch, Brittany Peters, and Corey Kelley. Six Step Great-Grandchildren, Step sons Scotty and Ricky Clayton, Brothers, Richard (Dickie) and Raymond (Barbara) Driggers, Sisters, Audrey (James) Smith, Margaret Wolfenbarger, Pam (Eddie) Allen, Nephew, Ricki Wolfenbarger, Nieces, Christy Ledford, Misty Ledford. Retired employee at St. Mary’s Hospital. Thank you to all the employees on the 7th floor, emergency room, step down, and ICU at Fort Sanders Hospital. There will be a call at convenience on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 9:00 am – 7:00 pm.
