James Earl Likens

James “Shorty” Likens, Sr., age 77, of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on December 28th, 2016. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by parents, John Thomas and Lou Vinia Likens, brothers Frank and Eugene Likens, and twin sister Phyllis Hickman. He is survived by son Peanut Likens, and wife Angie, daughter Nancy Rose, and husband Dave, 6 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, sisters Jo Likens, Charlene Pierley, Betty Perdue, and Margaret Isley, several nieces, nephews and extended family. The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 1st, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 1:45 p.m. for a 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 2nd, 2017 at Concord Masonic Cemetery for an interment service, with Rev. Dennis Alderwood officiating.
