James "Donnie" Cameron

Lt. James “Donnie” Cameron (Ret.), age 76, of Knoxville, passed peacefully through the Gates of Heaven at his home on September 7, 2016. He was an active member and Sunday school teacher of Tekoa Baptist Church. He served on the Knoxville Police Department for 30 years before retiring. He enjoyed fishing, traveling and studying the bible. James has gone to meet his infant son, John Scott Cameron and parents, James and Stella Jenkins Cameron. Left to cherish his memory are beloved wife of 50 years, Pat Cameron and brother, Paul (Mona) Cameron. Funeral service 7PM Friday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, Pastor Bill Dean and Ed Parton officiating. Family and friends will meet 9:15AM Saturday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for 9:30AM interment service. Family will receive friends 5-7PM Friday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
