James Dean Ernest

James “Deano” Ernest, age 47, of Knoxville, passed away May 9th, 2017. He is of the Baptist faith and was a very spiritual person who strongly believed in his Indian heritage. He was a loving father, brother and friend. He was preceded in death by parents Nick and Barbara Jean Ernest. He is survived by children Christain Taylor Ernest, Nicholas Ryan Smith, Adam Lawson, and Daniel Lawson; 2 grandchildren; siblings Regina Jackson, John Ernest, Tracy Mullins, Charles Cruze, Jeff Ernest, Michael Cruze; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Colleen Smith, Teresa Lawson, Gina Johnson. The family will receive friends on 5-7pm Friday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at Edgewood Cemetery by 10:45am Saturday for a graveside service at 11am.
