James David Brooks

James David (Hammer) Brooks, age 68 of Knoxville went to his Heavenly Home on Monday morning, February 12, 2018. Gone but Never Forgotten. Preceded in death by parents, Clarence and Alma Ruth Brooks; brother, Bill: sister, Martha; niece, Tammy. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda Canupp Brooks: sons, David and wife Joyce, Chris and wife Casey; daughters, Brittnay and husband David, Misty Massey and late husband Dean; grandchildren, David and wife Peyton; Alexis; Dalton and baby on the way Dawson; brothers, Tony, Tommy and Johnny: several brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and numerous friends. Family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm on Thursday February 15, 2018 with services to follow. Family and friend will meet at 10:45 a.m. Friday February 16, 2018 at Roseberry Cemetery for 11:00 interment. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the gofundme account or at Mynatt Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
