Rev. James C. Keith, Sr., age 82, of Knoxville, is now running on the street of gold. He was a member of Springhill Baptist Church. He was a dedicated evangelist, Sunday school teacher, and deacon for many years. James honorably served his country in the Korean War. He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Vernice Keith; parents, Raymond and Stella Keith; children, James Ronald Keith, Connie Ruth Keith and Betty Williams; and daughter-in-law, Terry Keith. He is survived by daughter, Frances Bales (Ron); sons, James Keith, Jr. (Robin), Mark Keith (Melanie), R.T. Keith (Denese) and Ricky Keith (Kelley); son-in-law, Larry Williams; sister, Maggie Danzier; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the Dialysis Techs at Fresenius Kidney Care on Western Avenue and special friend of the family Monique Dowell. Family will receive friends Thursday July 5, 2018 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel with service to follow.
