James Alton Farris

James (Jimmy) Farris, born November 26th 1935, went peacefully to be with the Lord April 29th. He was a member of Oakwood United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by parents, Lucille & Alton Farris. He leaves behind his wife, Martha; daughter, Teresa Farris; sisters, Alicia Higgins and Jane Loftis Payne. He was deeply loved by all his nieces and nephews, their favorite uncle. The family wishes to extend a special Thank You to the staff of Tennova Residential Hospice. Family will receive friends 5pm-8pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, with service to follow officiated by Rev. Mark Braddom and nephew, Bobby Loftis. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Thursday for 11am interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
