Jackie Bert Byrd

Jack Bert Byrd, age 76 of Powell, Tennessee, has gone home to Heaven to be with the Lord and his loved ones passed. Jack was born November 9, 1937 in Harlan, Kentucky. Jack and wife, Betty Lou Thompson Byrd were married on November 9, 1968. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Jack was a great man and a hard working man with much love for his wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchild, brothers, and sister with all his heart. Preceded in death by parents, Roy Earnistine and Betty Lee Lane Byrd; sister, Louise Earnistine Byrd Morris; brothers, Charles Renold Byrd and Jerry Ray Byrd. Left to keep his memory alive are his wife, Betty Lou Thompson Byrd; son, Charles Kevin Byrd; daughter and son-in-law, Chaunta Dionne Byrd Underwood and Chancey Heath Underwood; granddaughter, Bethany Ann Underwood; grandson, Chancey Mark Underwood; great-granddaughter, Ember Rain Hall; brothers, Clarance Herbert Byrd, Clay Henry Byrd, Willis Chandler Byrd, William Curtis Byrd, and Benny Lee Byrd; and sister, Lois Ann Byrd Hope. Family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 pm Wednesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow, Rev. Lester Mullins officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45 am Thursday at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery for 11:00 am interment. Pallbearers are Chancey Heath Underwood, Chancey Mark Underwood, Ricky Lynn Nelson, Randy Glenn Nelson, Joshua Michael Spangler, and Michael Thomas Hall. Jack will be missed until we see him again one day!
