Jack Herbert Blackburn III

Jack Herbert Blackburn III age 53 of Powell, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at his home.  He was born in Knoxville, TN and was a 1990 graduate of Gibbs High School.  Jack was the frontend manager and a dedicated employee of Walmart, Turkey Creek.    Jack loved sports and video games, and he was determined, independent and courageous.  Jack was a member of Grace Baptist Church, Karns.  Jack was a loyal, longtime and longterm friend to many.  Preceded in death by grandfather Bob Bridges; grandmother Catherine Hall; grandfather Jack H. Blackburn, Sr. and uncle John Blackburn.  Survivors; mother Kathy Yates of Knoxville;  father Jack H. (Debbie) Blackburn, Jr. of New Tazewell, TN.; grandmother Faye Bridges; siblings Jeff (Cindy) Yates of Knoxville, Melissa (Dusty) Roach of Conway, S.C., Chris (Morgan) Blackburn, Joseph Blackburn, James Earls and Tanya (Michael) Large, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; aunts Amy (Doyle) Webb, Beverly (Winston) Huff and Lisa (Jeff) Ogle, uncle Phil (Bonnie) Bridges; several cousins.  The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Monday, March 17, 2025 at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel followed by a 7:00 p.m. Celebration of Life Service, Jeff Yates officiating and Noah Roach speaking.  In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Grace Baptist Church 7171 Oak Ridge Highway, Knoxville, TN.  37931.  Condolences may be left at www.mynattfh.com.
