Born in Van Worth, OH, Izetta Marie Daniels was a twin to Loretta Mae Daniels. The parents were Elizabeth (Lizzy) and Heiskell (HB) Daniels. They soon moved back to Claiborne County, TN, where Izetta lived with her family until she was seven years old. Having many health problems, she was taken and raised by her Aunt Sallie Ann Lawson. Her Aunt Sallie's husband, Alex, worked for the railroad and they moved to Bunch, OK, where he worked with the railroad. Izetta grew up on a Cherokee Indian reservation and lived there with her aunt and uncle until graduating high school. After graduating, she moved back to Claiborne County, TN to live with her Mother, Elizabeth Daniels. Izetta always loved the Lord, and worshiped him as her personal saviour. She attended Mt. Zion church during her younger years.Izetta saw the man of her dreams when she was visiting with her twin sister, Loretta. Loretta's husband came home and had a visitor with him. When the visitor walked in the door, Izetta said "that is the man that I am going to marry". And so she did. June 17, 1941 Izetta married Thomas Sheffie Fee of Hagan, VA. This was during the war, so two days after they were married, Izetta's beloved Thomas left for the war. She stayed with her Mother and Aunt Sallie during the time that he was away. After Thomas returned from the war, they moved to Knoxville,TN, where they started a family. Three daughters were born to them; Roberta, Lila, & Tommie. They lived on Main St for a short period, then moved to Giffin St, where they called home for the remainder of their lives. Driving a vehicle was something that Izetta never learned to do. One time her husband, Thomas, took her for a lesson with the children in the car. She got flustered and ran into a small tree. (No one was injured except for a cut on the chin of the youngest child, Tommie) After this, Thomas said that he would never give her another lesson, and therefore, she never had the pleasure of learning to drive. Izetta was a true Christian and loved her Lord. She joined Beaumont Avenue Baptist Church on May 12, 1946 and attended there with her family until she was no longer able to attend. Her husband, Thomas, was a deacon there. She belonged to the Women's Missionary Union and was a member of the Truth Seekers class. She loved music and was a faithful member of the choir. Izetta loved the outdoors, and truly enjoyed working in the flower beds. She could grow a beautiful plant from a "twig". No one could have had a greener thumb. On any sunny day, you could spot Izetta out in her yard working with her flowers.Neighbors passing by would always stop to comment on the beautiful roses and flowers that she grew.Politics was an important part of Izetta's life. She was on the Executive Committee of the Republican Party and served as Election Judge until her health failed. It was very important to her that each person should have a vote on the issues of government. In her later years, she was accompanied by her daughter, Tommie, to attend many of the political functions. Izetta loved life and was very active. She loved to have fun, and she always made the best of any situation. She loved to meet people and never met a stranger. She could kick her leg straight up and touch her toes with no effort at all. Even on her 100th birthday, she was still touching her toes. A loving wife and mother, Izetta was always there for her family. No matter the time of day or night, you could always call on her and know that she would be there. There was nothing too big or too small that she couldn't handle. She always showed love and affection; asking for nothing in return. Her family was the center of her life.
