Irene Foster

Irene Foster, age 89, of Powell, passed away Friday morning, January 19, 2018 at home with her loving husband by her side. She was a long-time member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fletcher & Nola Carden and 9 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 69 years, Gene Foster; sons, Harold Foster and his wife Rita of Atlanta, GA, and Terry Foster and his wife Paula of Powell, Tennessee; grandchildren, Courtney, Derek, Crysta, Amber, Austin; great grandchildren, Lainie, Tavy, Rowan, Eli, Norris, and Hyke; brother, Pete Carden; and sister, Alberta Bacon. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Monday, January 22, 2018 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel, with funeral service to follow at 8:00 pm, Rev. Billy Moore officiating. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home 1:15 pm, Tuesday, January 23, 2018 and proceed to Cedar Grove Baptist Church Cemetery for graveside service at 2:00 pm.
