Irene B. Henson

Irene B. Henson, age 88 of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord on January 2, 2021. She was a member of Clear Springs Baptist Church. Irene was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald C. Henson; parents W.C. and Mada Elizabeth Bower, and son-in-law Randy Roggeman. She is survived by her daughters: Beth Roggeman, Paula Wright, Phyllis Faulkner (husband Russ), and Dana Short (husband Brent); grandchildren: Chris Shiflett (wife Christina), Erica Wright (husband Adam), Brittany Roggeman, Tyler Fuhler, Derek Faulkner, Connor Short, Kinzey Short; great-grandchildren: Tegan Shiflett, Killian Shiflett, Riley Shiflett, Finleigh Fuhler, and Arthur Province. She enjoyed reading, which led to her owning her own book store. She was also a successful Avon representative for many years. In her spare time, she enjoyed baking and crafting, especially with her departed sister Pauline Lee. She was a devout Christian and loved the Lord. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made in Irene's name to your preferred charity or to the Young Williams Animal Hospital. Family and friends will meet on Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at 1:45 pm for a 2:00 pm graveside service at Elbert-Wyrick Cemetery in Luttrell, TN. Rick McIntee will officiate.
