Ina Faye Smith, age 75, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on April 3, 2016 after suffering from Alzheimer’s and a major stroke. She was a member of Norwood Baptist Church and long time former member of Glenwood Baptist Church. She retired from Lifeway Bookstore (formerly Baptist Bookstore) in 1998. Faye never met a stranger and she always had a joke to tell to make you laugh. She loved life to the fullest. She is the daughter of the late W.R. & Cassie Smith and also preceded in death by 6 brothers and 5 sisters. She is survived by her sister, Ruth Latham, and several nieces and nephews. She was cared for in her home by nephew, Doug Foster and niece, Patsy Dickens. A special thank you to Caris Caregivers Christina and Tonia, and also nieces Denise Keys and Debbie Lawson. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to West Hills Health and Rehab Multi-Sensory Room for Dementia Residents, 6801 Middlebrook Pike, Knoxville, TN 37909. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 from 6-8pm at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 10:45am Wednesday at Bookwalter Cemetery for graveside service at 11am, Rev. Gary Smith officiating.
