Herman G. Hamelin (Hum) passed away May 8, 2014 after a short illness with family members at his side. He was a World War II Veteran and had a lifetime career in the sign industry. Preceded in death by father, Herman J. Hamelin; mother, Edna Boisvert Hale; sisters, Dorothy, Marjorie, Barbara, and Joyce; brothers, David and Roger. Survived by wife of 48 years, Natalie Hamelin; children, James, David, Richard, Amanda, Thomas, Nancy, and Ronald; step children, Gayle Rose and Robert Russell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Special thanks to Amedisys Hospice Care and nursing staff, Summer, Samantha, Jennifer, Rita, Chris, and Amy, and the nursing staff at North Knoxville Medical Center 4th and 5th floors. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Saturday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. Family and friends will meet 12:45 pm Monday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for 1:00 pm graveside service with Rev. Ronald Mouser officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Central Baptist Church Fountain City Building Fund or Amedisys Hospice Care.
