Henry C. Norris, Jr. age 90 of Powell, TN, passed away January 4, 2021 from complications of COVID. There was a joyous reunion in heaven with his wife of 63 years, Tillie Norris. He was an active member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church. He was very proud to be a Korean War Veteran. He attended the University of Tennessee. He proudly worked for the Department of Energy as an Engineer for 40 years. He worked at both the K-25 and Y-12 sites. He was an avid Lady Vol Basketball supporter. His proudest accomplishment was raising three daughters. He was always very active in their lives. If they played ball, he coached. If they were clogging, he was the announcer. If it was a horseshow, he was right there. He touched many lives and was loved by all. He was preceded in death by wife, Jessie (Tillie) Norris, Parents, Mattie and Clarence Norris, and sister Mildred Blakely. Left to mourn his memory are his daughters, Glenda (Rick) Harbin, Deborah Norris, and Janet (Mike) Jones. His pride and joy were his grandchildren, Brittany (Hondo) Logan, and Jessica Harbin. He adored his great-grandchildren, Finn Logan and Remy Logan. He leaves 2 brothers, Bob Norris (Pat), and Glenn Norris (Karen), and many nieces, nephews, and friends. We want to send a special thank you to Don and Karen Hughes, Kent Williams, and Gary Boyd for their support. Due to COVID, we will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery at 12:45PM Saturday, January 9, 2021 for a 1:00PM Graveside service Officiated by Rev. Kent Williams and full military honors will be provided. The family requests masks and social distancing at cemetery. Online condolences can be made at www.mynattfh.com.
