Henrietta “Rett” Buck Greer, age 86 of Knoxville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 17, 2013. She was a member of the Beaver Dam Baptist Church. Rett was born on July 1, 1926 in Roan Mountain, Tennessee where she was a graduate of Cloudland High School. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers. She was a National Accredited Flower Show Judge. She spent many hours in her later years watching the birds. She was a devoted and loving wife and mother. She was preceded in death by her parents, William McKinley and Carrie McKinney Buck, her sister, Geneva Hendrickson and a nephew, Henry Potter. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James “Ray” Greer, daughters, Connie and her husband Wayne Decker, Donna and her husband Gary Bean, and Karen and her husband Larry Stith, grandchildren, David and Beverly Decker, Melissa and Lee Elliott, Jonathan Decker, Kelley & Blair Durham of Nashville, Tracey and Brad Anderson, Ryan Stith of Orlando, Jeremiah and Sharley Stith, and Jessica Stith and 11 great grandchildren, Pierce, Parker and Caroline Elliott, Kaitlynn and Taylor Decker, Ethan and Addy Durham, Brooks and Bennett Anderson, Ella and Samuel Stith, and many special friends, nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the 8th floor nurses at Ft. Sanders Regional for the care they provided. Funeral services will be held 7:00 pm Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Dr. Charles Earl and Dr. Alan Price officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:15 am Wednesday at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery on Gov. John Sevier Hwy for interment at 9:30 am. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to the Beaver Dam Baptist Church Heritage Fund, 4328 E. Emory Rd, Knoxville, TN 37938.
