Helen Mauk Shackelford

Helen Mauk Shackelford of Fountain City Tennessee Born July 13,1930 - died April 18, 2025

Preceded in death by her husband Arthur Dewey Shackelford, parents Abraham and Nellie Mauk, brothers Lewis Mauk, William Mauk, Charles Mauk, sisters Mavis Thomas, Eleanor Raffoni and Wanda Wilcox. She is survived by son Stephen Shackelford (Jo) and daughter Carol Cruze (Randy), grandchildren Lauren Sandy (Brandon), Alex Cruze, Lindsey Deitel (Sam), and Abbey Cruze, great grandchildren Charlee, Ally, Charlie, Nora, Connor, Addison and Jenny, sisters Dorothy Arning and Mary Frances Secrist, Brother-in-Law Sam Wilcox and numerous nieces and nephews. She graduated from Central High School and Knoxville Business College. She was a lifetime faithful Member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City donating many years of service to the Library and Media Center, Senior Neighbors, the Fountain City Ministry Center, the Bethany Sunday School Class and WMU.

We would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Transitional Care Center at MorningView Village and the University of Tennessee Medical Center Hospice Service for the excellent and compassionate care they provided Helen.

Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Cemetery on Friday April 25,2025 at 10:45 for an 11:00 Graveside service
