Hearl Edward Dukes, born August 30, 1959, passed away suddenly on June 11, 2021. He was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his mother, Louise Dukes and brother, Gary Dukes. Survived by, his wife, Angie Dukes, father, Carl Dukes, daughter Autumn, 2 grandsons Silas & Abram, 4 siblings, Nini, Trish, Kim and Glenn, an adopted daughter, and a host of friends that were his family. Edward was highly regarded in the car world for his talent of body work and painting cars. He loved classic cars. If you knew Edward, you know he was always in the garage. In his younger days, you could count on seeing him at Atomic Speedway for the demolition derby, he loved to build and drive demolition derby cars. He enjoyed going to the Nascar Daytona 500 race week. He was an active member in the Gun Show community, where he made a lot of new friends, (he loves you brother!) Edward worked for U-Haul for 40 years, where he made several life-long friendships. He opened hundreds of U-Haul neighborhood dealerships as an AFM, he was Senior Staff, he finished his career as the Shop Manager of Kargo Repair Shop #142. Edward had a kind heart and helped so many people through the years. A Celebration of Life service will be held Tuesday, June 29, 2021, 5:00pm at New Hope Baptist Church, 7602 Bud Hawkins Rd, Carryton Tn, 37721 with Pastor Mark Large officiating.
