Hazel Marie Pratt Trentham

Hazel Marie Pratt Trentham was born June 1, 1938. Hazel went to be with Jesus on Friday, January 24, 2025. Hazel was a faithful member of Salem Baptist Church in the Halls community where she sang in the choir and worked with the children each Sunday. She was an active member of the Baptist Women and Young at Heart groups. She worked for many years at Edith’s Cloth and Craft and the Home Federal Bank downtown branch. Hazel attended Tennessee School of Beauty and was a licensed cosmetologist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William David Trentham; son, Jeffery David Trentham; parents, Roy Gilbert Pratt, Sr. and Lena Edna Fawver Pratt; and sister, Sue Pratt Shelton. 

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Helen Trentham and Joe Competiello; sister, Doris Pratt Varner; brother and sister-in-law, R.G. and Royce Pratt; several cousins, and nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel on Friday, February 7, 2025, 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Family and friends will meet on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Greenwood Cemetery at 10:45 am for a 11:00 am graveside service, with Reverend Allen James bringing the Message of the Gospel.
