Hazel Maxine Edington Grubb

February 7, 1930 — September 16, 2017

Hazel Maxine Edington Grubb, age 87, passed away September 16, 2017. She was a founding member of Sunny View Baptist Church and played piano faithfully since the age of 12. Hazel retired from Tennessee State Laboratory after 30 years of service. Preceded in death by husband of over 50 years, Richard M. Grubb; daughter, Debra Leigh McConkey; grandson, James Andrew Grubb; and parents, Andrew and Mammie Edington. Left to cherish her memory are children, Connie (Richard) Grubb Case and James (Kimberly) Richard “Rick” Grubb; grandchildren, Paul and Jeff Ridenour, Robert Creswell (Tracy)and Andrew McConkey; many great grandchildren and several great great-grandchildren. The family wishes to thank Hazel’s daughter-in-law, Kimberly, for her loving care. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Hazel’s name to Sunny View Baptist Church. Family and friends will meet 10:45AM Wednesday at Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery for 11AM interment service. Family will receive friends 5-7PM Tuesday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with funeral service to follow, Pastor Joe Norris officiating.
