Hazel Lee "NaNa" McPhetridge, age 95, of Knoxville passed away peacefully, Sunday, August 19, 2018 at Fort Sanders Medical Center. She was a member of Arlington Baptist Church. Former member of Sharon Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Powell High School, and then went on to obtain a degree from Knoxville Business College. She worked for Knox County Property Assessor office for 56 years. She and her husband loved spending time on their houseboat at Norris Dam Marina, boating, water skiing, ballroom dancing, traveling, and spending time with their son, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her loving husband Hollis C. "PaPa" McPhetridge; parents William "Fate" Lafayette and Mae Gault Bright; brothers Don and Grant Bright; sister-in-law Peggy Bright; and brothers-in-law Ray Rutherford and George Gose. Survived by her loving son Ron McPhetridge; sisters Evelyn Gose and Barbara Rutherford; grandchildren Scott McPhetridge and wife Robbyn, Amanda McPhetridge, and Midori McPhetridge; great grandchildren Dustin, Hunter, and Wyatt McPhetridge and Ava, Isabel, and Nolan Brummerstedt; brother-in-law Jim McPhetridge and wife Gerry; sister-in-law Mary Evelyn Bright; and several special nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers Dustin McPhetridge, Hunter McPhetridge, Wyatt McPhetridge, Billy Bright, Terry Bright, Eddie Bright, Jessie Keck, Don Rutherford, Mark Rutherford, Lloyd Rutherford, Boyd Rutherford, and Mike Sexton. Family will receive friends from 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City. Family and friends will meet at 9:45a.m. Thursday, August 23, 2018 at Sharon Baptist Church Cemetery for a 10:00 a.m. graveside service with Dr. Jim Robertson officiating.
