Hazel Catherine Boatman Duncan Stout, age 92, went to be with the Lord January 15, 2020. She was a member of Black Oak Ridge Baptist Church, however recently she attended Lonsdale United Methodist Church, where she had begun her Christian life as a child. Catherine worked many jobs in her life from working for her father in his store to Southern Bell/South Central Bell. She enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking and raising Boston Terriers. Catherine had a wonderful sense of humor, a sweet and grateful spirit, and a strong Christian faith. Preceded in death by first husband Ditt Duncan, second husband Robert Stout, parents John H. and Grace Mays Boatman, 6 brothers, and 1 sister. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and caregivers John, Diana, and Jonathan Beckner, Gary Beckner, Donna Petre, and Ann Deese. Special thank you to Smoky Mountain Hospice, Atria Senior Living, and Amada Senior Care for their compassionate care. Family will receive friends 2:00-4:00pm Sunday, January 19, 2020, at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with service to follow at 4:00pm, Rev. Walter Cross and Rev. Gary Capps officiating.
