Harry Lee England, 93, passed away at his home on December 31, 2020. Harry was a war veteran and saw frontline action in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was a decorated marksman and muzzleloader. Harry turned his love of hunting, fishing, and farming into a way of providing for his family. He maintained three vegetable gardens, raised cattle, and worked security at the University of Tennessee after retiring from his civilian job as a diesel mechanic and a small business owner (Lake City Bottled Gas).
He is preceded in death by his wife Faye England, parents Roxie and Matt England, brothers Carl and Archie England, children Paul Harry and Teresa Faye England, and grandchild Jesse Hubbard.
He is survived by his children Sylvia England, Lillian England, Charles England, and Mark England; grandchildren Beranda Lona, Leslie Hickle, Melissa Solomon, Ember England, and Ezekiel England; great-grandchildren Matt Lona, Emmalee Lona, Derek Allen and Jacob Hubbard; sister Oma Benson as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends and family will meet at Sharon Baptist Church cemetery at 1:45 on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 for a 2:00pm graveside service with full military honors provided by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
