Harold "Sonny" Foncielee Blalock Jr.

Harold “Sonny” Foncielee Blalock, Jr., 48 of Knoxville, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024. 

Sonny was born on December 30, 1975, to Harold F. Blalock and Judy Seals. Sonny enjoyed playing baseball in high school before enlisting in the US Air Force. He served our country honorably as an Aircraft Mechanic, with multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. He retired after 24 years as a Master Sergeant, spending the last seven years teaching his craft to junior enlisted members.

He loved fishing, but especially loved sports, which involved watching the Tennessee Volunteers, Pittsburg Steelers, and the Atlanta Braves. Sonny was always the life of the party, and was known to pluck on a guitar from time to time.

He is survived by his children, Kellen and Vayson Blalock; fiancé, Michelle Gibson and their child, Matt Garrigus; parents Harold F Blalock and Judy (Childress) Seals; sister, Michelle Prater; his niece and nephews whom he was especially close to, Logan, Kadie and Josh; cousin Stephanie (Bennie), Uncle Irv and Aunt Diane, Uncle Jeff and Aunt Carole, Uncle Bill and Aunt Theresa, and Uncle Larry and Aunt Kathy. 

A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
