Harold L. Wilson Jr., age 66 of Louisville, TN, peacefully answered his creator and savior’s call to enter into his eternal presence on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at U.T. Medical Center. He loved his Lord, his family, and the beauty of God’s creation. He served beautifully and honored the Lord, and now he has heard Matthew 25:23. He was an active member and Sunday School teacher at Beech Grove Baptist Church on Tooles Bend Rd. He loved to share the gospel of Jesus Christ in his everyday life. He was employed at Y-12 National Security Complex for 45 years and loved his coworkers.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Wilson, sister, Vickie Peoples, and first wife, Vera Wilson.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 13 years, Karen Wilson, daughter, Rebekah (Rick) Lansdon, sons, David (Holly) Wilson, Jason (Misty) Boling, and Brandon (Melissa) Riggs, grandchildren, Lilly Beth, Nora Rose, Maggie, Katie, Alisha, Erica, Ensley, and Walker, father Harold L. Wilson Sr., sister, Linda (Walter) Armstrong, brother Bill (Karen) Wilson, special mother-in-law, Willa Lundy (whom they loved each other very much and he called her his mom and she called him her son), as well as several nieces and nephews.
There will be a Call at Convenience at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel on Tuesday, March 2, 2021, from 10:00am-6:00pm. A private family graveside service will be held with Pastor Dewey Brown officiating. The family would like to extend a heartfelt “thanks” to the staff at U.T. Medical Center for their love and care.
