Harold David "Pete" Mynatt, age 90 of Halls, passed away peacefully Saturday, November 23, 2024. He is in Heaven and reunited with his loving wife, Ruth on her 89th Birthday. He has missed her so much and now they are celebrating. Pete was an avid fisherman, enjoyed farming, football and he loved to tell stories about his endeavors in life and experiences with his family and friends. He worked for USS selling fertilizer to farmers in East Tennessee and retired from KTrans Bus Company which he loved.
Preceded in death by his wife Ruth Adcox Mynatt; parents, Hassie and Wiliam Tell Mynatt; brothers, Walt, George, Bert, June, Jack, Teddy, Bob and Gene and sisters, Mildred, Mae Taylor and Ruth Cooper. Survived by children: Elaine (Richard) Wilkerson, Anita (Terry) Shipley and Joe (Barbara) Mynatt; grandchildren, Sarah and Will Buckner, Erica (Fiancé Brandon) Shipley, Tyler Dahl, Keegan Mynatt; great granddaughters, Charlotte Mull and Haisley Buckner, and sister Hazel (George) Brooks. The family would like to thank his dedicated caregivers at home, UT Hospice and Wellington Manor for caring for him. In Lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association. The family will receive friends from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 27, with a service to follow at 2:00 P.M. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Halls Chapel; Rev. Gary Vandergriff Officiating. An interment will take place at Union Baptist Church Cemetery of Halls following the service. Pallbearers will be Keegan Mynatt, Tyler Dahl, Will Buckner, Jeff Mynatt, Clint Walker and Brandon Easterday. Announcement By Mynatt Funeral Halls Chapel.
