Harold Cox, age 85, passed away at Fort Sanders Regional Hospital Sunday, May 20, 2018. He was a member of Union Baptist Church for about 50 Years. He also attended Emory Valley Baptist Church. He was a member of the #757 Masonic Lodge for 50 years. He was an Army Veteran in the Korean War. He was the owner of Harold’s Tours for 30 years. He loved people and the people that travelled with him. He was presently employed by the Knox County Sheriff's Department.
He is preceded in death by son Wayne Cox; parents Sammy and Mary Cox; brother Everett Cox.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years Audrey Cox; daughter Cheryl Stanifer and husband Marty; grandsons Brian Stanifer and Mark Stanifer; and nephew Sammie Cox and wife Wanda.
Family will welcome friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2018. Service for Mr. Harold Cox will be conducted on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 8:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home Hall’s Chapel. Rev. Richard Nicely to officiate. Burial will be in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy. 33 at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 25, 2018.
