Harold Edward Barber

Harold Edward Barber, age 90 of Knoxville, passed away September 14, 2023. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church of Halls. He was an army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was a very happy and compassionate person, who was deeply loved by his family, church family, and friends. Harold was a patron of the Knoxville Zoo for over 50 years. He was an avid UT sports and Atlanta Braves fan. Preceded in death by parents Margie and Harold J. Barber. Survived by loving wife of 68 years Martha Henderson Barber, sons Frank Harold Barber and wife Kim and Stephen J. Barber and wife Gail, grandchildren Mallory (Matthew) Wood, Amanda (Jake) London, Trevor Barber, Joshua (Morgan) Barber, great-grandchildren Miles Edward Wood, Aspen Claire Wood, and Abram Jacob London. Family will receive friends 2:00-4:00pm Monday, September 18, 2023, at Christ United Methodist Church with service to follow at 4:00pm, Rev. Mark Kilbourne and Rev. Bruce Marston officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45am Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at Fort Sumter Community Cemetery for an 11:00am interment. Online condolences may be expressed at www.mynattfh.com
