Gwendolyn "Gwen" Brock

Frances Gwendolyn “Gwen” Brock, went to her heavenly home to be with her heavenly father in the early morning hours of Saturday, July 22nd, 2017. Gwen was a retiree of Alpha Industries. She loved to go shopping and she had a great affinity for the music of Eric Clapton. She loved to play Red Ace with her close friends at the Moose Lodge. She was a member of Union Baptist Church. First and foremost, she loved her family. Gwen is preceded in death by her loving husband Herbert Kermit “Bobo” Brock, parents Sammy and Sarah Baker, brother Edgar Baker, sister-in-law Betty Shelley and in-laws Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Brock, Sr. She is survived by daughter Jamie Dee McCowan, and husband Chase, grandchildren Jennifer Grady, and husband Jonathan, Travis Hunter, and Chante Sharp, and Julie Hunter, great-grandson Nickolas Grady, nephews Lynn Baker, and wife Vickie, Glenn Alan Baker, and Keating Vernon Shelley, and special friend and caregiver Dee Varner. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Mynatt Funeral Home, Fountain City Chapel. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service at Lynnhurst Cemetery on Wednesday, July 26th, 2017. Rev. Gary Vandergriff will be officiating.
