Gunner Craig Smith

Gunner Craig Smith, age 14 went to be with our Lord on Friday May 28, 2021 surrounded by his family in their home. Gunner was born on April 25, 2007 in San Angelo, Texas to proud parents Brandon and Brittany. Gunner was the epitome of the All-American boy next door. He loved basketball, board games, PlayStation and cornhole. He loved his family fiercely and enjoyed family bible studies. Gunners “All Heart” story has impacted many people and it will continue to do so. Until we see him again his piercing blue eyes and bright smile will be carried in our hearts. Gunner is survived by his parents, Brandon and Brittany: his sisters, London and Gracelyn: his great grandparents Roger and Joyce Helm, Darrell and Clara Smith, Linda Hopkins: his grandparents Brian and Holly Donoghue, Craig and Jane Smith: his many aunts and uncles, Cole and Yolanda Smith, Cade Smith, Tyler and Jaimee Donoghue, Collin and Haley Donoghue, Shane and Emylee Smith, Mackenzie and Eric Box: his cousins, Kiki, Rey, Courtney, Easton, Cane, Alaina, McKenna, Gehrig, and Savannah: and his beloved labradoodle Tunafish. Funeral services will take place at Powell Church 323 W. Emory Road in Powell, TN on Wednesday June 2, 2021 at 1pm. Following the funeral a private graveside service will be held at Bells Campground Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday morning in the old sanctuary at Powell Church between 11am-1pm. Special note: The family will be proudly wearing Gunners “All Heart Gunner” shirt please wear yours if you have one. A wake will be held Wednesday evening 6-8:30 at Chez Lily. In lieu of flowers the family asks for donations in Gunner’s name to research high risk brain tumors like Gunner’s.
