Gordon "Oly" Oland

Gordon “Oly” Oland, age 78, of Knoxville, passed away January 27, 2017. He was a member of Smoky Mountain Archers, Volunteer Rifle and Pistol Club, and a kids coach for archery and shotgun. He served in the United States Air Force and worked for the Department of Defense at NWC China Lake, CA and Parris Island MCRD, where he met his wife Karen, and at El Toro Marine Corps Air Station California before moving to Tennessee. He also worked for WBIR Channel 10 and was the owner of Custom Arrows and Accessories. Oly was preceded in death by his father, Goodwin Oland. He is survived by his wife, Karen Robinson Oland; sons, Brian Oland and Eric Oland (Lisa); grandchildren, Atreyeu, Seth, and Gingerlee; great grandchildren, Wesley, Cooper, Zoey, Peyton, and Sophee; and mother, Oline Olsen. The family will receive friends 6pm until 8pm Monday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
